Loot from Japan #3

Japan Shibori Post

These are pieces I did in the Shibori Workshop in Arimatsu, near Nagoya. We learned various tie-dye techniques and our leaders did the dying–some with indigo, some with synthetic dyes for convenience. The scarf in the middle came from the Osamu Mita’s modern weaving mill. The scarf is one of his designs. His things are seen in the Metropolitan Museum catalogs.
