Hi Peggy, I have graduated from a rigid heddle to an 8 shaft loom, ambitious, I know. I get confused reading the drafts. I do not have peddles. It is an Ashford loom. How do I get it thru my thick head to ignore the peddles? It is very confusing to me. Please explain as though you are talking to a dumbo and perhaps I will be able to move on with my weaving. I guess your loom has levers and not peddles. that is just fine. When you want a shaft to be lifted you pull that shaft’s lever. Most weaves require more than one shaft to be lifted at a time. that means you pull all of those levers. Let me know if this doesn’t explain your situation. I am trying to keep it simple this go round. On looms with peddles, you lift shafts with the peddles. Peggy
